I just want to say thank you to everyone who has reached out to us about how best to serve our family during this time!
If I'm honest, everything has felt a little overwhelming, and I don't just mean having a 28 weeker, but even just the incredible amount of people reaching out asking how they could help.
Because the truth is, we want the help, we need the help, but coordinating it all and then communicating it felt a little overwhelming. It's sometimes hard to figure out what is really helpful in the moment. A full fridge or someone to look after our kids so we can go to the NICU sans kiddos?
People asked about meals, childcare, how to make financial donations, and if I had a baby registry set up!
So without further ado here are the ways to help. Again, a thousand thank yous!
Meal Train
So I'm happy to say, we have set up all sorts of things on Meal Train and we're using it as a platform to sign up for meals as well as childcare. In regards to food, we're so happy with anything! We have friends who live in the area that have brought food by, others who live in other areas that have ordered takeout for us, and we just had someone send us a gift card to UberEats. So again we're so easy, and it's incredible how many options there are now for people to participate in these types of things even if they are a bit of a distance away.
If you're interested in watching the boys in the evening, so Peter and I can have a date night or a night time NICU visit sans kids, let me know and we can arrange that separately.
And people have also asked about finances and how to donate, so we also set up a donation option on the meal train page!
So check out our Meal Train here.
Amazon Baby Registry
And for those of you who have asked about a baby registry, I'm registered on Amazon, so click the link up above if you're wanting to purchase something off my registry. I'm going to warn you, it's all very practical things. A few bonus items that I thought would be fun to own new ones this time around, but other than that, it's all very practical.
Again, a huge thank you in advance!! Just in the matter of days since we've been home, we've had friends come by and bring food and drinks and make grocery runs for us and bring a basket of prepacked snacks for the kids. I think I just might run out of cabinet and fridge space, so we better start eating it!!
Filled with so much gratitude to the Lord for the incredible people He's placed in our lives and their humble hearts to serve us so willingly.
