Sunday.

A few Sundays ago there was a power outage at church.

Our church has grown so much that we meet in the Sanctuary and across the street in the chapel for overflow purposes.

The power outage was in the chapel, which probably holds about 200+ people (or maybe that's pushing it a bit?)

And since Peter and I arrived right at 9 we knew we were chapel bound.

And like I said - the power outage was in the chapel.

And this Sunday seemed unuusally full - they had to pull chairs from other places and other rooms.

And as soon as a chair was set down there was a body to fill it.

Things had to be changed and revamped.

We sang from hymnals.

People spoke a bit louder (no microphones).

And we heard the sermon live (normally Pastor preaches across the street and the sermon is streamed over video, but this time Pastor preached across the street and then ran over to preach live)

And in our tech savy culture it all seemed so primitive.

Yet, the Holy Spirit was so present that morning - in the laughter, in the joy, in the voices.

And it was a beauitful reminder that God is always present with or without the technology.
