Once Upon a Time.

My dear friend Bekah has been telling me about this ABC show Once Upon a Time for months now!  I just kept tossing her comments aside simply because the season was nearly over and who starts watching a TV show at the end of the season?

Well, I can now say that I do!!  We were all out of DVDS and I didn't have any TV shows in my queue. So I figured why not give this show a shot!  Bekah had recommended another show to me, White Collar, and Peter and I had loved that one.  But this one was about Fairy Tales??  Would that intrigue me as much as white collar crime and an attractive young man in stylish suits?

I can now answer my own questions...YES and YES!  So Once Upon a Time is a fantasy drama created by Lost and Tron: Legacy writers. The show began in October and completed it's first season last Sunday! The show centers on a woman with a troubled past who is drawn into a small town in Maine where the magic and mystery of Fairy Tales just may be real!

When I first checked out the episode guide on ABC - I thought gosh only six episodes.   I can finish that in a day!  As I said before, I didn't have anything going on this weekend.  My goals were few....laundry, clean the house, catch up on blogs and put a dent in my Time magazine stack.  And I soon discovered that I could accomplish ALL of these goals while watching Once Upon a Time. Yes, I am a major multi-tasker - this I know!

So I started the season off with the Pilot, which is normal right?  And then I just clicked onto the next episode, and something just didn't seem right, but I kept watching, and then after that one I clicked onto the next one, and by then something just seemed really wrong!  It seemed as if I had missed a ton of episodes...AND guess what...I HAD!!  Turns out I had watched the pilot along with episodes 13 and 19.  Really??  How did I accomplish that?  Well, I guess ABC only has a few episodes accessible online - six to be exact out of the 22.  And considering I had already begun my addiction, I was determined to find a way to watch the remaining episodes.

Solution - sign up for a free one-week trial of Hulu+ and don't forget to unsubscribe after week is complete.

Turns out that was a fantastic solution!  And as of Sunday night I had watched 14 of the 22 episodes.  Pretty sure I am on track for finishing the first season in a matter of days!

Here's to a new TV series (Thanks Bekah) and a new way for me to waste my time!!

xoxo,

Malia
