It's been awhile since I have posted a little things post, so I figured now was the time! Last Friday, on my way home, I called Peter, informing him that I was stopping by the store in order to indulge a craving. My darling husband, kindly asked, and what might that be? Can you guess? He probably thought I was stopping by the shop to pick up chicken tenders or something like that considering tenders were a craving of the past. But I knew my husband was making dinner, so I wouldn't dare pick up anything that would spoil my appetite right? Well let's just say I went to the store to buy popcorn in a bag (considering we don't have a microwave) and diet coke for movie night, and I just couldn't resist the $5 Friday item at Safeway, Goldfish, and an additional bag of popcorn. I mean what's a girl to do when she can't make up her mind? Well, buy both bags of course!
And we got to see our dear friends Josh and Amanda and celebrate the upcoming arrival of their baby boy! Doesn't Amanda look radiant? Unfortunately, they live on the East Coast for the time being, but all that husky gear baby got may be a hint that we aren't the only ones that want them to move back here. Our little guys are scheduled to be about 5 weeks apart, but who really knows - could be more or could be less, depending on when the little men decide to make their debut into the outer world.
How gorgeous are those flowers?? Grown in our very own garden and Peter finally cut a few for me! And how cute are those little pumpkins?? Those are also from our garden - a mystery crop, and Peter kept thinking they may grow bigger, but they didn't. So we finally pulled them from their home in the garden and they now have a new home inside. You can find these little orange guys scattered throughout our entire house!
And we also spent quite a bit of our Sunday in the kitchen making salsa with our green tomatoes and pumpkin soup. Love spending time with my husband in the kitchen! Will share pumpkin soup recipe later. In the meantime, we have all sorts of leftovers in the fridge!
And there you have it folks...a little glimpse into our weekend!
Xoxo,
Malia
