GoFundMe.

So every now and again you run across websites you really can't wait to share with others!  And this obviously happened to me recently.  The website is GoFundMe.  To be honest, I'm slightly shocked I haven't heard of this website sooner considering I always seem to know someone who is fundraising whether it's for their salary or a mission trip or a jump a thon!

It is basically a personal online fundraising tool - and if you peruse the website you will see that people are using it to raise money for their honeymoon, their mission trip, their start up business, their pets vet bills, their sports team, their own medical bills, etc - you get the point!  You can basically raise money for anything and GoFundMe provides the platform to do so.

And this is how it works...

Why am I dedicating an entire post to this website you might ask?  A dear friend told us about the website and encouraged us to create a page to give people the opportunity to donate to our medical bills.  So we did.  It's all incredibly humbling, but what do we have to lose right?  And guess what?  We got our first bill today for $886 and we received a generous donation in the mail today from some friends for $900.  God's timing is perfect isn't it?  Truly brings tears to my eyes just thinking about how God provides in the most perfect ways.  And in the meantime, we wait and see how He shows up through the generosity of others.  Thanks so much to those who have already donated!
