Just another day...

...in the Drennan household.  I have all sorts of things I want to write about, but I thought I would just start with today.  And yes, I know I wrote about a day in the life already, but that post was on one of my really good days!  And let's be honest, not all days look like that one.

Let me tell you about today.  It is 1:36 PM and most people, like my former self, have been at work for 5 hours already.  They have showered, clothed themselves, brushed their hair and their teeth, and they will have left the house.  And MOST of them will have had breakfast AND lunch.

Well let's just say, that I no longer fall into the most people category.  It is now 1:37 PM, and I have not showered, nor have I changed my clothes, brushed my hair, and let's be honest my breath is just nasty!  Thank goodness we aren't expecting visitors just yet.  I have not left the house, and I have not had breakfast or lunch.

But, let's talk about the things I have done...

Since the clock struck midnight...

I have slept maybe a total of 4 uninterrupted hours

I have changed 4 diapers

I have pumped 4 times

I have fed baby 4 bottles

I have changed one outfit

I have read a few pages in a book

I finished the latest biggest loser episode

I made myself a cup of tea, but I have yet to sit down and enjoy it

And I am in the process of making myself breakfast, but let's be honest, this process has taken me hours

All because of this little nugget...

And I'm okay with the fact that it's now 1:41 PM, and this is what I look like.

Now the dilemma...do I feed the crying at the risk of my own breakfast going cold or do I eat my own food first, then feed the baby?  Let's be honest, baby wins because nothing breaks my heart more than listening to LB cry his eyes out.
