David Crowder Band.

I heard this song on the radio tonight, and I was reminded ONCE again just how much I love this song!  I love it so much that I wrote a blog post about it almost a year ago now - so I figured it was time I wrote another.

The lyrics get me every time...and I can't help but get emotional.  The words are so true and truly representative of my life and my relationship with the Lord.

He is jealous for me, Loves like a hurricane, I am a tree,
Bending beneath the weight of his wind and mercy.

Isn't this visual just fabulous?  I am a tree, bending beneath the weight of his wind and mercy.

When all of a sudden, I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory,
And I realize just how beautiful You are,
And how great Your affections are for me.

And oh, how He loves us so
Oh how He loves us,
How He loves us so

I don't think I will ever be able to fully fathom the love Christ has for me.  Even when I am a snot and so extremely unloveable, He still loves me.  Seems impossible doesn't it, but the reality is it's not.

We are His portion and He is our prize
Drawn to redemption by the grace in His eyes
If grace is an ocean, we're all sinking

Christ is my prize and far too often I forget this!

So Heaven meets earth like an unforeseen kiss
And my heart turns violently inside of my chest
I don't have time to maintain these regrets
When I think about the way that he loves us.

So now go listen to the song and think about how much Christ loves you!
