It went from this (what bathroom looked like when we bought it), to this (our first transformation, new paint job, got rid of cabinets, white tiles remained), and then to this (final transformation, new paint job even though you can't really tell, new toilet, new sink, NEW tiles, new faucet). I really wish I would have taken a better updated bathroom photo but this will have to do!
And here are a few of my favorite things about our updated bathroom.
1. The new tiles, now you can't tell when there's hair on the floor and dirt and all sorts of other things
2. My new garbage can - isn't it cute? I know it's silly, but our last one was white without a lid and I wish I would have gotten a photo of it, but I can't seem to find it for the life of me!
3. Our shower curtain hits the ground now. If you look at the middle photo up top, you can see that our shower curtain gathered on the ground and that ALWAYS drove me crazy! And now we have a new shower curtain rod, and now the curtain just grazes the ground. Simple Pleasures I tell ya, simple pleasures!
4. Let's be honest, one of my absolute favorite things about our bathroom, besides the tiles of course, is the new cabinet! Are you kidding me? I finally have a place to put all my bathroom items - now I am just on the lookout for a little basket that will fit perfectly under there. And the sink is super small, perfect for bathing a baby I would say.
This past weekend was so busy, with finishing up the bathroom as you saw, organizing the guest bedroom, getting ready for our house guests (Peter's brother Stuart will be visiting with a few friends - so excited!) and getting ready for the house assessor to come (we are refinancing our house)! So last weekend while Peter was working on the bathroom, I decided to work on my own project and clean out Little Buddy's new bedroom, which is currently our guest bedroom closet. I bought a bunch of under the bed storage containers and filled them full of towels, bedding, books - all sorts of items that were in the closet and in our hutch. And I stopped at Target and bought a little rod to hang LB's clothes in the hutch. Isn't his clothes closet the cutest? I can't wait to fill the top shelf with all sorts of books and little toys, and I can't believe he already has so many clothing items!
We painted the window sills and painted over some of the moldy mess in the sills. And they went from this to this. I wish I had taken better photos, but what's a girl to do! Just know that it looks a whole lot better.
And that's all for now!
xoxo,
Malia
