Little Buddy: 14 months

Another month older, another month of exploration! Let's see this month was filled with tons of play dates with various friends. It's been such a blessing to walk through all of this with friends who have little people close to your age. You love interacting with other kids, whatever "interacting" means at this age. You kind of just stare at them...which I'm okay with considering you are still young and people think it's cute. However, if this habit continues into your later years, we may have to do something about it.

We used some of your birthday money to buy your first bike helmet! You hated having it on your head at first, but after we let you play with it a little, you were at least a little willing to let us snap the buckle under your chin. Seriously though...so cute! And you loved the bike ride. We have just ridden around the neighborhood, nothing too exciting or strenuous, but you love it nonetheless. And how cute is your little jacket - your Grandma Gillian made that one for you!

This month you also had the privilege of experiencing your first snowfall and you were able to put your green hat to use. You weren't too sure about it. It was a little cold on your hand, and since you aren't walking yet, we didn't really want you crawling around in it! This month you also tried your hand at coloring - definitely not a Picasso or anything, and you were more interested in eating the crayons than drawing with them. 

And you had pasta for the first time! You enjoyed it, but even to this day (8/1/14) we still haven't given you much pasta. I suppose I'd rather fill your face with crackers, which is pretty much the same thing! You are such a good eater and you LOVE beans.
