Growing // You had your 15 month checkup this month. It was the first appointment your dad wasn't able to be at. And he wanted me to report back on everything. You weren't a huge fan of your shots and were a little nervous about the Doctor, clinging to mom the whole time. You weighed in at 24 lbs even and you were 30 inches long. Your dad asked me to get your adjusted numbers, the numbers based upon your due date rather than your birthdate) and the nurse said...oh he's graduated from his preemie status. We don't do the adjusted numbers anymore! And the best part is - they said you would catch up with growth and height and everything by a year and you completely have. As of now you are measuring around the 50th percentile for both height and weight.
Eating + Sleeping // You are such a good eater. Everyone comments on how good of an eater you are. There are definitely things you love more than others. The only fruit you really like is bananas and maybe apples, but you are not a huge fan of any type of berry or oranges. You are sleeping so good. Bedtime is easy and naptime is easy. You are still doing two naps - a morning nap and an afternoon nap, the time varies slightly depending on what time you woke up in the morning. And you sleep about 11 hours at night - in bed by 7:30 and up by 6/6:30. We have talked about pushing your bedtime back a bit to see if you would wake up later, stay tuned for that in another months post. Gone are the nighttime wake ups and they have been gone for awhile. Your dad and I are so grateful for a full night's sleep.
Doing // You have been crawling up a storm and you took your first steps unassisted this month. Of course it was on a Monday, a day mom's in the office and dad's at home with you. What a message to get! Jack took his first steps - my first thought was WHAT?? of ALL the days child...of ALL the days! So glad your dad was able to be there for that though. It was so fun for him! You love following your dad around and copying anything he does. You love sweeping the floor and raking the grass.
Milestones // Your first steps! And your first haircut! You were great with the haircut - such a trooper. Just stood there like a little champ letting Cristy cut your hair off. I think it made your hair grow back even thicker, but another haircut is not in your future quite yet. All four of your molars came in and we have started brushing your teeth. You are not a fan, but sometimes you just have food in all your teeth - which you now total 12 teeth. Teething with you has never been much of an issue. I remember with these ones seeing some new teeth popping up and thinking oh he's getting new teeth in. They don't seem to phase you much or maybe I'm just not as in tune with your pain as I think I am! And we took you to the beach and you played at the beach for the first time. First official St. Patricks day..dad got you all dressed up for this one.
