Little Buddy by month
You // You are still Mr. Independent, but you still reach for my hand when we cross the street. You are all about mama these days - no dada, mama do it, mama read books, mama put me to bed. You love making jokes and say Just kidding and laugh hysterically about whatever it was you said. It's incredible to see your little personality bursting forth and to see how we can cultivate it. You adore your brother - you get so excited to see him, kiss him, hug him, tell him you love him.
Growing // I'm guessing you weigh 36 lbs? A few people have asked recently if you've grown in inches and I'm not entirely sure, but I think your pants may be getting a little bit shorter? So maybe?
Eating + Sleeping // You love cereal for breakfast and you love bananas and you really love quesadillas and peas. But you really don't love any other fruit besides bananans - berries, apples, you spit them all out. You love corn!! And you love to snack - that hasn't changed. You'd snack all day if you could - raisins, popcorn, bars, rice cakes, cheese, etc.)
We try to get you to bed by 8:30 these days and you are normally up by 6:30, sometimes earlier (Lord help me!). You wake up so sad that you've woken up, but then you are like the energizer bunny bouncing out of bed and every morning I wake up to "mama get up...mama wake up...mama get up..mama wake up."
And you're still napping, but never longer than an hour. And we always lay with you as you go to sleep. And at night time, before you go to bed, we read books, and cuddle on the bed, and then walk you across the hall to your room, and quite often, your little voice says mama lay down. And I do until you fall asleep. You start off in your bed, but sometime in the middle of the night you roam into our room and land yourself in our bed. And you are still sleeping in our bed a ton these days.
Nicknames // Jackie, Jackie bear, you call yourself Jackie Emmet Drennan or sometimes it's Emmet Jackie
Wearing // The majority of your clothes are 3T. Your shoe size is an 8/9.
Loving // You are really into transformers and watching videos about transformers and talking about transformers. You love pretending and make believe and dressing up in your batman costume. You love hide n seek and superheros. You love lego and drawing and puzzles and TV, you LOVE TV, some days I wish you didn't love it so much! You love taking baths, especially baths with Ry guy. And you love going on adventures with myself and dada. You are the best little buddy! And you really love your brother - you get so excited to see him and give him kisses and hugs, and now that he's older, he loves playing with you and thinks you're the funniest thing ever. You love helping in the kitchen, putting things into pans and measuring things for cookies. And you love picnics and swings. And you LOVE crawling into your brothers crib and reading books with him.
Loathing // You really dislike having to share your toys with your brother and it drives you crazy when Ryan takes a toy you are playing with, and then runs off with it to hide behind mama or dada so you won't steal it back from him. You loathe timeouts, and some days you go without a single timeout and other days you have 4 timeouts before Ryan's morning nap!
Doing // You talk alot. And you love replaying the day and various memories. I love that. You do alot of things yourself now, but you still have the hardest time getting your shoes on and putting your clothes on yourself. You have no problem taking them off mind you!! You are getting so good on your bike these days too.
Milestones // You are potty trained!!! You have had a few accidents lately, but for the most part you're fully potty trained. You attended your first wedding. First visit to the dentist. First visit to the aquarium. First car accident :(. First Dick's hamburger. First Urgent Care Visit, first bout of strep.
Words/Phrases // What's that? Why? Love you ever mama/dada/ryan, etc. so many words/phrases, can't even recall them all.
